Are You Still Blogging? Should You?

When it comes to the digital world, we see a constant cycle of what’s new and what’s hot. This cycle often gives the impression that if it’s more than six minutes old, it’s irrelevant. That may be true in how we communicate with each other, but not when it comes to business.

In many ways, business is much more practical when it comes to the digital age. Which begs the question: Is blogging still relevant? And by blogging, I mean adding content to the blog page (or news page) of your website. The quick answer to my original question is yes.

Utilizing a blog is one of the easiest ways to add content. It also shows a commitment to your online presence, showcases the latest news about your company, and keeps visitors on your website longer.

Please note, a blog should not be a weekly advertisement about what’s on sale or why people should buy from you. Be sure to add info about new employees, community service work, nominations or awards, and trends in your industry.

You don’t have to be a slave to what’s new and what’s hot. Keep utilizing your website blog to post interesting information about your business. And six minutes after I post this article, it will still be true.
